Food and Beverage Service
The Wellesley College Club is responsible for the quality and freshness of the food served to our guests. Due to current Health Regulations, all food served at the Wellesley College Club must be prepared by our culinary staff. The only exceptions made will be Wedding, Anniversary, or Bar/Bat Mitzvah cakes. Food may not be taken off the premises after it has been prepared and served. Please note that sales and service of Alcoholic Beverages are regulated by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. As a result, the state does not allow guests to bring alcoholic beverages into the Club.
Administrative Fee
All food and beverage items are subject to a 23% administrative fee and a 6.25% state sales tax. State sales tax may be added on rentals and other applicable items.
Rentals and Assignments
Please refer to the function room rental section for charges. Room assignments are made according to the guarantee minimum numbers of people anticipated. Because these attendance figures may vary from expected attendance, we reserve the right to change room reservations to best accommodate either decreasing or increasing attendance figures.
Guarantees
A guaranteed attendance figure is required for all meal functions seventy-two (72) hours prior to the function's date, and is not subject to reduction. We will be prepared to serve 5% over the guaranteed number. You will be charged for this guaranteed count or the actual number of guests served, whichever is greater. We do, however, need to know the menu, approximate count, beverage, and room arrangements three weeks ahead of your event.
Billing
A non-refundable deposit of $1,000.00 is required to hold your space as definite. Members may have all charges billed to their member account. Non-members are required to pay 50% of the total estimated charges six weeks prior to the function; the remaining balance is to be paid by cashier's check or major credit card (72) hours prior to your function.
Security
The Wellesley College Club does not assume responsibility for damage or loss of any merchandise or articles left on the premises prior to, during or following any event. Security arrangements for equipment can be made through the Catering office.
Decorations & Clean-up
The patrons own decorations or displays must be approved prior to installation. Banners or other display items must be adhered with temporary elements (such as removable tape). The Wellesley College Club reserves the right to assess a $250.00 cleaning or repair fees as a result of any patron damage to the property. All decorating items brought into the College Club via the patron must be removed at the conclusion of the event.
Bar/Bat Mitzvahs
The College Club may be used for Bar/Bat Mitzvahs with the following conditions: The Main Dining Room is available until 5:00pm for functions and opens for buffet dinner at 6:00pm for members and their guests. The minimum number of guests is 75 people and all meal selections will need to be from our dinner menu. We provide white linen cloths and a wide variety of colored napkins, as well as white. If you prefer to order linen from an outside source, with must consult with the Director of Catering before confirming your order. You are responsible for floral arrangements, music, cake, balloons.etc. Evening Bar/Bat Mitzvahs may have use of the upstairs private rooms at an additional charge. Evening functions have use of the space from 6:30pm/7:00pm until Midnight. Any damages to property, furniture, linen, etc. will be charged to the host parents. The College Club expects that children attending the functions will be well supervised by the adults present.
Audio Visual Equipment
We will be pleased to arrange for any AV requirements for your function. Charges will vary according to equipment needed. For extensive set-ups, arrangements can be made through our office to contact local professional audio-visual services.

The rental fees include setup, breakdown and extension cords for the equipment. Should the guests choose to bring their own equipment, they will be responsible for setup, breakdown, and extension cords.
